I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
